A digital camera is a camera that is capable of taking still and video photographs by digitally recording the images on a sensor that is sensitive to light. The digital camera can measure the distance of the subject with the help of electronic techniques or acoustics. The resolution of the camera is determined by the sensor chip that converts lights into separate signals, thus replacing the film that is used in the traditional method. The use of technology has helped in smaller versions of the digital camera and nowadays the digital camera is incorporated into mobiles, vehicles and webcams. The webcams have the digital cameras that are attached to the computers for video conferencing.
