Sound Card

   Posted by: Levski   in Technology

A sound card is a part of the computer that helps to process audio files to provide playback through the speakers connected to the computer. A sound card is capable of playing music files and voice and supports various audio file formats such as mp3, wav, cda and many others. The sound card has an interface with numerous output and input ports at the rear of the computer. The speakers are plugged directly at the back of the sound card. The sound card also has a line-in port for recording from an external device like a digital audio player and also for listening to the device.
