Hard Disk Crash

   Posted by: Levski   in Technology

The hard disk contains data which can be of two types. The first type is the operating system with different software that is housed in one partition. The other type is the actual data that the user works on. When a hard disk crash takes place it causes permanent loss of data. In such situations the computer does not boot up and gives only error messages. When the computer is turned on the head gets stuck and causes scratches on the surface meant for recording of data and a scratching sound is emitted which is an indication of a hard disk crash. Recovery of data is expensive and done by disassembling the disk and files are extracted using special tools and copied onto another CD or DVD.
