There are many software that can encrypt files. Even though there are paid softwares but sometimes the best software is a free software. Why waste money on paid softwares when you can the same protection by using a free software? One of the most popular free and open source software is "AxCrypt File Encryption Software" @ http://axcrypt.sourceforge.net/. The software currently works perfectly with Windows 98/ME/NT/2K/XP. The software also supports AES-128 File Encryption.

What is proxy server?

It might have happened to many of you that you are trying to open up a page on the web browser but it is not opening up with a boring error message that the contents of that website are not supported or authorized to view. This means that they sites are blocked and cannot be viewed with the general server. But using a proxy server you can open them easily. Some of the proxy servers are included in the firewall services and some are working independently. There are three types of proxy servers which are SOCKS, Circuit proxy and Generic Proxy.

Apart from using anonymous proxy servers, there are other extra steps which you should make to make sure that your online activities cannot be tracked.

1. Use an encrypted connection
2. Configure your browser to Delete Cookies after each session (I'd recommend that you use Firefox Web Browser… as it is easier to configure)
3. Configure your browser to disable Active Content, Javascript and Java

Encoding and decoding

Codes are signals or symbols that are forms of representation and communication. In computers encoding means the process of placing a series of characters in a special arrangement for the purpose of storage or transmission. Decoding is just the reverse where the encoded format is converted back to a series of characters.

Hard Disk
